Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery

At Parkside Hospital, highly skilled Consultants carry out a wide range of procedures for cosmetic and reconstruction purposes. Below is an overview of procedures we currently offer. Please contact us if you would like more information about these or any other procedures.

Abdominoplasty ('Tummy Tuck')

We understand that excess skin and fat can appear on the stomach as a result of weight gains and losses, especially post-childbirth. A Tummy Tuck will remove excess fat and loose skin to leave the stomach area firmer and flatter.

Body Contouring Surgery

Significant weight loss can create folds of excess skin, especially around the tummy and buttocks. We carry out post-weight loss cosmetic surgery to remove fat and loose skin from any area of the body, using a combination of liposuction, liposculpture and/or surgery.

Breast Augmentation

Breast augmentation surgery is one of the most commonly performed cosmetic surgery procedures in the UK with more than 10,000 women receiving implants in 2011*. Augmentation is used to enlarge breasts, to correct asymmetry or to reconstruct the chest area following a mastectomy.

Breast Reduction

Breast size and mass varies throughout life and can be influenced by your genes, hormones, body frame and weight. With our breast reduction surgery, we can help women to reduce the size of their breasts and/or address any issues of asymmetry.

Breast Uplift

Breast uplift surgery (also known as mastopexy) gives the chest a firmer and more youthful appearance. A breast uplift procedure will reposition the breasts and nipples and remove any excess skin.

Chin Refinement

Chin refinement surgery is carried out to change the size, shape or prominence of the chin. We can augment the size and shape of the chin with a silicone implant, or reduce its size by removing excess tissue and bone.

Ear Correction

If you have naturally large or protruding ears, or if they have been damaged through any form of contact sport, we can help to resize, reshape or reposition them using correction procedures such as pinnaplasty and otoplasty.

Eyelid Surgery

Eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) is performed to remove excess fat and skin ('bags') and thereby smooth the skin around the eye area and rejuvenate the upper face. It can be carried out on either the upper and lower eyelids or on both.

The natural ageing process means that skin on the face and neck can lose its elasticity. A facelift is a surgical method of raising and tightening sagging, less elastic skin. The procedure lifts parts of the face and neck to produce a youthful, more energetic appearance.

Injectable Fillers

Fillers temporarily refresh skin without the need for anaesthetic or an overnight stay in hospital. We professionally administer injectable treatments such as Botox™ and dermal fillers on order to smooth lines and wrinkles and rejuvenate the face.

Labial Reduction

We offer gynaecology surgery options to correct physically uncomfortable or painful vulval problems, or to alter the appearance of genitalia to increase self-confidence.

Liposuction and Liposculpture

Liposuction and liposculpture procedures are used to remove areas of excess fat anywhere on the body. They can be used to treat lymphoedema (a build-up of fluid within body tissue) or to permanently reduce fat cells for medical or cosmetic reasons.

Male Chest Reduction

Gynaecomastia is a condition that causes excess breast tissue to develop in men. We can perform liposuction or breast reduction surgery to give men a flattened and firmer chest area. The procedure is the second most popular cosmetic surgery choice for men in the UK.

Whether you’re unhappy with the size, shape or angle of your nose or if it’s causing you breathing difficulties, we can perform rhinoplasty procedures – also known as nose jobs – to reduce, reshape or straighten the nose.
